Just curious as to what fossils people feel are the most beautiful ever

Being partial to mosasaurs, for sheer undistorted beauty and preservation I
must say it would be the type skull of one of the last of these animals,
Plotosaurus bennisoni, at Berkeley. In the latest SVP News Bulletin, there's a
photo of the late, great Sam Welles preparing this specimen back in the late
30's. It came from a sand pocket in the Moreno Formation near Fresno,
California. Ordinarily, specimens from here are in terrible shape. What an
exception! Drawings of the skull are also in Camp's,_California Mosasaurs_,
1942. Dan Varner.
