Re: New dinosaur eggs found
WOlewiler reported (8/13/98; 11:09am) this story:
>Scientists said Wednesday they had found what were thought to be two
>dinosaur eggs in southern Bolivia in what could be one of the biggest
>fossil fields in the world. Team leader Christian Mayer said . . .
[snip]
>"Of the eggs we found, one measures 10 inches and the other,
>from a flying reptile, is big and measures 16 inches" . . .
I'd bet that Mayer was misquoted here. Either that or his identification
is most likely incorrect.
A flying reptile with an egg measuring 16 inches? Seems unlikely. We'll
have to wait on this one for a reliable report.
