How about Florentino Ameghino? He only named two dinosaurs (Loncosaurus
and Clasmodosaurus), but his massive contributions to the South American
Cenozoic (some of which he thought were Cretaceous) are without peer.
And where would Ricardoestesia and 'Nedcolbertia' be without his naming
eccentricities?
