enough griping

Just to give you an idea of the level of sophistication of the local public
library, Karin, when I filled out an interlibrary loan form and gave it to
the INTERLIBRARY LOAN OFFICER, he said, "We don't have this magazine."
Yes, that's why I filled out an interlibrary loan form, whiz kid! I have
attempted to get books and articles in the past only to be met with "we
can't get it." They have NO dinosaur books in their stacks and only one in
their reference section. The library is in this huge building, much of
which is empty space, and half of which seems dedicated to conference
rooms. When I was growing up the public library was the size of a large
apartment and had more books and magazines.

I find it ironic that I can get on the internet and look at the catalog of
the Library of Congress, yet I can't walk into the local university library
and look at theirs. It makes it quite impossible to do serious research
and next to impossible to keep up to date on matters scientific.

Oh well, enough griping. I seem to remember a post that talked about
forensic techniques and their applicability to understanding dinosaur
behavior. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Best regards,

Dave
