Plesiosaur questions
Howdy, gang!
I need some details to fill out my volunteer training information for
this summer's DINAMATION dinosaur exhibit. We're including some aquatic
Mesozoic reptiles, and I could sure use the following information (and/or
leads to it):
Thalassomedon (plesiosaur, elasmosaur):
1) what's its estimated weight?
2) Any other nifty tidbits, besides having 76 vertebrae in its neck!
Kronosaurus:
1) what's its time period, in millions of years, i.e., when it was alive?
2) what are the short-necked plesiosaurs called now a days? Isn't
pliosaur passe?
3) what's its estimated weight?
Thanks! Since this is tangential to dinosaurs, please reply off list!!
