Absurdity Blues, in both shoes

Hey All,

Never say never. Deer, of nearly all species, occassionally have antlered
females. There was just such an whitetail doe harvested in Missouri last
fall, with a nice rack too. Granted, these are rare instances of some
hormone imbalance, or other abnormallity.

I bet more than one buck was shocked to encounter her. Can't you just
imagine her attitude?

For the life of me I'll never fully understand the "Uh" factor. Does anyone?

English translation:

I wish we could talk about anything BUT pack hunting. The seemingly endless
debate has taken the rest of us aback. Personal "raptor" strikes, slashes,
and screaming has been both annoying and sad. I have no problem with
however any of you argue, or to what level you want to take it, but I for
one believe it has come time to take this thread to personal email accounts
and leave the list some form of honor. Public thrashing as this surely
doesn't enthral the reader. When you read the archives six months from now
I wonder if your words will seem so accurate in reflecting how you feel
then. Time has a way of changing things.

Trust me on that one, I wish I could recant some of the "absurdity" I've
posted, and some things I wish I had said better. Such is life, but I think
my contributions display a marked improvement in both relavence and
temprament. It has been about four years since I subscribed to the list,
and it's about time, UH! I'm also working too damned hard to take the time
to rattle off the first thing that pops into my head. Aren't you all
smiling? Oh well, :-)

I think the Jaguar actually prefers to bite through the skull if its prey,
and may be the only large cat to do so as a matter of choice in the method
of dispatching its kill. Whether this has to do with the increased risk of
death in the tropics from even a small wound, as a result of infection,
that a nearly instant kill is the best way to avoid injury to the predator.
I could be wrong on that one, but I thought I read it somewhere. I'm 44,
give me a break, my memory isn't what it used to be, and it wasn't great
before.

Picture this;

Baryonx stands dead still in the shallow water, able to see through the
water from above, like a kingfisher. A dumb, slow, carp-like fish waddles
up. Baryonx stabs fish, but more inportantly pins it to bottom. Fish
thrashes, a little, Baryonx uses long snout to retrieve fish from muck.
Baryonx stands dead still in the shallow water,......

Feather for insulation. From heat? Wasn't it way warmer in dino time? A
thin layer of feathers would help shade the body, would they not? Cool man,
(ie Bart).
