Actually, it doesn't need to get "redescribed" as _Gorgosaurus_: the
Judithian species was *first* named _Gorgosaurus libratus_ in 1914, long
before its referal to the genus _Albertosaurus_ (done in Russell's 1970
classic paper on tyrant dinos). Some of the papers in Currie & Padian and
in Farlow & Brett-Surman already use _Gorgosaurus_.

Justification for restoring its rightful name can be found in my abstract
for last year's SVP (and the paper in prep. on which it was based), in
Currie's forthcoming monographs, and elsewhere.

Why only one monograph? :-)

Currie has a couple of big osteologies of particular tyrannosaurid taxa
planned; I have a tyrannosaurid phylogeny paper in the works; don't know
what Molnar &/or Carpenter have planned with regards to osteologies or
systematics.
