Re: BARYONYX (Stratigraphy)

I said:

<<Of his neighbors, *Megalosaurus* is too incomplete to hypothesize
about, and *Eustreptospondylus* was seemingly more suited for fully
terrestrial habitat.>>

And Tom Holtz pointed out:

<Neighbors in space, but not in time!!

_Megalosaurus_ was from the Middle Jurassic, and _Eustreptospondylus_
from the earliest Late Jurassic. Both lived tens of millions of years
earlier than the Barremian (early Early Cretaceous) _Baryonyx_!!>

Whoops! Caught me again, Tom. And I should have known the respective
ages of those theropods. I guess I still must be getting over my
*Oviraptor* bit.

This is what comes of poorly researched material :-)

A correction, then:

BARYONYX:

Habitat

Shared with...no extant theropods. *Baryonyx* seems to be the lone
theropod in this time frame, which would somewhat explain why he grew so
big: no competition.

PS: Sorry about the confusion, folks.
