Dinosaur TV Week
Here are some highlights of paleontology-themed U.S.
national television programming, all times Eastern:
Monday, September 29
Discovery Channel, 8pm, 12am (technically Tuesday)
Wild Discovery: "Jurassic Survivors"
Modern relatives of dinosaurs, including birds.
Sunday, October 5
Discovery Channel, 10:30am
Bonehead Detectives of the Paleoworld
Children's program. This week: "Attack of the Sea Monsters"
The Learning Channel, 10pm
The Mysterious Origins of Man
Taking time out from his pro-gun work, Charlton "Moses" Heston offers
"new evidence!" on prehistoric man to indicate that long-held
scientific theories may be incorrect. Men riding dinosaurs. Pet
Rauisuchids. Foraging for washed-up eurypterids by the
shore (great with clarified butter, but then, what isn't?). You
know. That kind of thing.
No Paleoworld? Better get out Nostradamus --

I'm not interested in how dinosaurs lived
I'm just glad they're dead
