We are hosting a symposium on the Early to Mid. Cret. terrestrial faunas
in fall of 1998, if you or anyone you know is interested. Spread the
word. Dave Norman is doing a paper on the origin and early biogeography
of hadrosaurs.

FILLING THE GAP
An International Symposium
To Present New Findings On The Lower and Middle Cretaceous
to be held at the
Devil's Canyon Science and Learning Center
Fruita, Colorado 81521
October 7 & 8, 1998
Papers reporting on regional stratigraphy, biostratigraphy,
biogeography, and faunas are being requested as are summary papers on
Paleoclimatology, Continental reconstructions. Summary papers on classic
sections and faunas will be particularly sought, with as complete as possible
global coverage a goal.
A symposium volume published by the New Mexico Museum of Natural
History will be published at the date of the meeting. In addition to expanded
papers on the topics, expanded Abstracts or short summary papers will be
published as necessary.
The symposium follows the
1998 Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology
in Salt Lake City , Sept 30-Oct 3, 1998.
and a SVP sponsored post-meeting field trip, Oct. 4-6, 1998
LOWER TO MIDDLE CRETACEOUS TERRESTRIAL FAUNAS
OF THE CENTRAL COLORADO PLATEAU
Participants planning on attending both meetings may fly into Salt Lake
City and fly out of Grand Junction, Colorado.
