Emu and ostrich egglaying

Hello all,

        Emu's in Australia nest in April, May, and June. This is four months
later than in Nebraska, and I would think the rest of the nothern
hemisphere, though I am not positive. 

        Ostriches almost always lay thier eggs on bare open ground. They
scratch a very slight depression in the earth. 

For those who wanted to know... :)
