The half-claw idea might be ok.  But if half is hunting, what is the 
other half?  It might be more logical to just call it a hunting claw, and 
acknowledge the fact that it would be used for whatever the beastie wants 
it to.  He doesn't have a daily planner for the tool.  He just uses it.  
picking his teeth, scratching himself, cracking open somthing.  A leopard 
always has its claws out. Though they are for running and killing, he 
uses them for whatever he wants.  But he is still a hunter, and they ae 
still hunters' claws for killing, respectively.  the same can be used for 
Dromaeosaurs.
