Many lizards certainly suffer from malaria (not necessarily transmitted by
mosquitoes - psychodid flies (sandflies) have been implicated) . I believe
crocodiles are also affected. It has been suggested that reptiles, birds in
particular, were the original hosts of the malaria parasite, with mammals
being a relatively recent addition to their menu.
