you are quite correct.  In the human male, the CG is about at the belly
button; the adult female is just under the belly button.  Kids are more
off-balance because their heads are larger in proportion to their
torsos, and are changing proportions daily.  Dinosaurs have an advantage
in having the tail and head as balancing poles.
