Tsingtao aka Qingdao (Re: Tsin(g)taosaurus.)
I'm posting the following message for Charlotte Mooers. Listproc
rejected her attempt to send it directly, and I can't figure out why
it did... In any case:
A few minutes with Netsearch *in Netscape) yields the following
information: The city in China which provides the name for
Tsin(g)taosaurus and Tsingtao beer is also known as Qingdao, in what
I presume to be the "new" spelling used by the current Chinese
government.
A search on "Tsingtao" turns up about 10 references, to beer, cities
having railway and trolley lines, and Chinese geography.
A search on "Qingdao" turns up about 20 refeences to tourism, cities
having railway and trolley lines (those train buffs are thorough!),
and tourism in China.
Asearch on "Tsintao" turns up no references at all.
Conclusion: There aren't enough references to current dinosaur news
on the Internet. (This mailing list doesn't get indexed!)
