The names in the Dinosaur Mailing List Genera List, of which there are
apparently 775 (I'll count when I do my update today or tomorrow), have all
been proposed at one time or another as belonging in the Dinosauria. Some
of the specimens to which the genera apply have been found to be pterosaurs,
crococilians, etc., some are junior synonyms, some have been found to so
dumb as to be renamed (what is the true genus of Megalosaurus --- anyone
want a Scrotum [wait, don't answer that]).

What we need is a companion list that lists valid genera only and does
not include junior synonyms, or perhaps one that lists the valid genera and
their junior synonyms. Something along the lines of _The Dinosauria_
listings. The problem is that I doubt George Olshevsky, the keeper of the
list (I'm merely one of the publishers of the list), wants to do that since
there would no longer be a reason to buy his book.

.... maybe I'll "copy" _The Dinosauria_ into a list .....
