Like pterosaurs, the earliest (= most basal) members of the clade Dinosauria
may not have had erect posture. Some prosauropods and early ornithischians
had a slightly "bowlegged" stance, as revealed by the angle of the femoral
head and the configuration of the metatarsal bones.
