Re: Plate arrangement on Stegosaurus Stenops
I don't remember many details, but from what I've heard, a new,
articulated specimen of Stegosaurus stenops has shown that the plates
were in two alternating rows. There were some tiny, bony platelets
around the neck area. Cheeks are restored on most of the herbivores these
days, including stegosaurus.
I read somewhere, though, that there had been a discovery of a
pair of small, disc-shaped hip plates on S. stenops. Does anybody know
anything about this?
