As has already been announced, my paper on Tyrannosaurus cursorial potential
(J.O. Farlow, M.B. Smith, J.M. Robinson, 1995, Body mass, bone "strength
indicator," and cursorial potential of Tyrannosaurus rex, Journal of
Vertebrate Paleontology 15: 713-725 has now been published. Once again, if
you do not subscribe to JVP, and IF you do not have access to a university
library that carries JVP, send me your address and I'll send you a xerox
copy of the article. I wasn't buried by requests for my Annual Review
article, which means that the offer wasn't being abused. So long as this
continues to be the case, I can continue sending photocopies of dinosaur
articles to non-professional people stuck in the paleontological boonies.
I urge any other professional lurkers out there to make the same offer.
I think it's a nice service/outreach to amateur dinosaur enthusiasts that
isn't that onerous.
To professional paleontologists, I'll eventually be sending out reprints
of this article--or handing them out again at JVP, which is a swell way to
save a lot of $!
