That would be my opinion right now. Some key bones are a little bigger than
those of "Sue," but not "bigger enough" to really nail it down. By the way,
_T. rex_ has undergone some downsizing of its own. It used to be listed as
being as much as 14+ meters long, but "Sue" has turned out to be only about
12.5 meters long. Part of this is due to the extra several feet of tail
vertebrae installed in the AMNH 5027 mount, but part is also due to our never
having had a nearly complete tail to measure until "Sue" was found. At this
rate, even _Jenghizkhan bataar_ might beat _Tyrannosaurus rex_ in the length
department, if it proves to be as long and slenderly proportioned as its
sister taxon _Tarbosaurus efremovi_.
