Oops.. forgot to mention those before. Thanks for pointing that out. You
can hear Sam Welles talk about Dilophosaurus, and he gives his opinion on
Jurassic Park at
http://ucmp1.berkeley.edu/dilophosaur/actor.html
The JP "Velociraptor" is mentioned briefly at:
http://ucmp1.berkeley.edu/diapsids/saurischia/dromaeosauridae.html
I haven't got around to re-doing the Sauropod stuff yet, but I'll be sure
to comment on Brachiosaurus when I do (hey, the curretn sites were written
by invertebrate paleontologists; I can only do so much :-) )
Oh yeah, and about T.rex... try
http://ucmp1.berkeley.edu/diapsids/saurischia/yrannosauridae.html
for some comments on the JP T. rex.
It's a start, at least. For something that isn't one of my shameless
self-promotions, Stephen Jay Gould gave a good review of Jurassic Park (and
dinomania in general) in the New York Times Book Review, August 12, 1993.
It should be available at the library; definitely try that one.
