The reason paleo types have been reluctant to accept cladistics is
because one is trying to use a two dimentional model (useful for
neontology) on a three dimentional science (include the time factor).
Personally, if there was a way to combine the geologic time scale
into a cladistic analysis (instead of a post-analysis effort to do
the same), I'd be more willing to accept the results.
