Right. There _certainly_ was a land connection _at some time_ during the
Cretaceous. But what about specifically the Campanian and Maastrichtian? And
what about the idea of a free faunal interchange between eastern Asia and
western North America during those epochs/stages? The phylogenetic
similarities are simply not close enough to be very convincing.
