Steve Cole makes a valid and legitimate case. This is how the observatory
in Hawaii was built, mainly through the generous funding of one individual
who only required that his name be on it. This is how Colonial Williamsburg
came into being. PBS has much private funding.
A balance between commercial and public interests serves both well.
