It should be remembered here, too, that there were other times when both
groups were in decline but ultimately pulled through.

Hey, that's right! For all you etymology buffs, the "mosa-" in
_Mosasaurus_ refers to the Meuse River, which also accounts for the
"maas-" in Maastricht and Maastrichtian!
