speed estimates, etc.

Regarding recent posts on speed, acceleration, etc.: what is the state
of current knowledge about this, i.e. how consistently can present
models predict accurately?  (And by the way, can anyone recommend a
first-rate university-level textbook on muscular/skeletal mechanics?)

Also, has anyone yet had a peek at the new Dodson book on natural
history of the ceratopsians?  My copy hasn't arrived yet.
