I presume this is to do with the rex/regina arguement?

I believe that the ICZN states something along the lines that the 
species' ending must be changed to conform to the gender of the 
genus. 

I'm afraid that the 'little red book' is missing from our libraries 
(Departmental and University)!, so I can't quote the more recent rules.
