T-Rex as cultural icon

Just throwing this out to the group for fun.  I was on the way to work
the other day and stopped a the light that usually catchs me.  I looked
to my right in boredom and noticed the mail box had a nice (plastic?)
statue of T-Rex, about 6-8 inches high.

I really don't think too many human cultures have made dino's random
decorations, excluding dragons?  Granted they didn't dig aroudna nd
figure what (well, sort of) they looked like.

Oh, the T-Rex was all a dark maroon.  I wonder if the creator knows
something we don't?.
