RE: tossing prey
This thread started with the thread "meat-eating sauropods" ...
anyway I am talking about alligatorids, not sauropods and I
am offering what appears to be an explanation for this
behavior. Maybe sauropods did just like to pick up smaller
creatures and play with them or maybe they did this to defend
themselves from ankle biters. Who knows? What we do know and
can observe today is that alligatorids engage in this behavior
and do so under a defined set of circumstances.
