Re: Amber May Release Ancient Disease-Causing Microbes

        With the debate about paleo-diseases that could be released from
amber, I cannot resist giving the references of a sci-fi novelette dealing
with this subject:
"The great dyings" by Frank M. Robinson, in: Dinosaur Fantastic, edited by
M. Resnick and M. H. Greenberg, Daw Books Inc.1993 pp 54-66.
        Shortly, it is about the discovery of a 65 Ma old piece of
mummified dinosaur finger released from amber that brings with it the
deadly microbe that provoked the K-T boundary extinctions back alive ...
