Simply stated maniraptorans are theropod dinosaurs which are very
bird-like in their development. Maniraptorans include the families:
Elmisauridae, Oviraptoridae, Caenagnathidae, compsognathidae, coeluridae,
dromeosauridae, and troodontidae
Sinraptorans are large theropods derived from early carnosaurian stock.
A present the dinosaurs Cryolophosaurus, Afrovenator, and Sinraptor are
believed to have come from early allosaurid stock.
