Remember - Horner's ideas on the use of the arms are as speculative
as everyone else's - including mine. The *only* evidence is the
small size and great strength.
And Horner's ideas are biased by his view of T. rex as being
principally a scavenger rather than a raptor. That needs to
be kept in mind when reading his speculations on this subject.
[Note: *all* large land carnivores take carrion when available,
so the real issue is whether T. rex was *also* a hunter].
